FAQ

NVR can't find IPC

Classification:
Wireless bridge

Answer:

There is no camera scanned in the recorder add-on device, you can check it from the following aspects:

1. Confirm whether the IPC and the NVR are on the same network segment.

The initial IP network segment of some IPCs is not on the same network segment as the NVR. This causes the IPC to be isolated from the NVR and cannot communicate with each other. Therefore, modify the IP address of the NVR or IPC to the same network segment.

2. Check if the switch is set to isolate

Some switches can enable VLAN or port isolation by dialing. When the VLAN is enabled, only the uplink port can communicate with other interfaces. The NVR is not connected to the uplink port. Therefore, when the VLAN is enabled, the NVR can be connected. On the interface, or close the VLAN

3. Check the network cable

Check whether the corresponding port of the IPC and NVR connected to the switch is on. If the indicator is off, the network cable may be faulty.

4. Check if the IPC power supply is normal.

(1) If the IPC is powered by the POE and is far away from the power supply terminal, there may be a path loss that causes the actual power supply received by the IPC to be insufficient. You can try to verify that the IPC starts normally.

(2) The total power of the switch is insufficient, resulting in insufficient power supply.

Check whether the total power of the connected camera exceeds the total power of the switch. If yes, it is recommended to change the switch of a larger power or reduce the number of camera connections.

(3) When the centralized power supply may cause insufficient power supply to the new equipment, the IPC will not start properly. It is recommended that the IPC not be fully connected to the port at one time, and it can be operated in batches.

Check if the IPC power supply is normal. Use the hand to block the light sensor port of the camera. If the infrared light is on, it indicates that the power supply is normal.
